Lions Karimannoor
Lions Club of Karimannoor is the premier club in the locality with 37 members ever ready for action. It always extends its solidarity with District 318 C projects and programmes. Our charity initiative is touching the hearts of afflicted and needy people in and around Karimannoor Panchayat. We are the sponsor club of Udumbannoor Town Lions Club. We have a Leo club and Lady Lions Forum in action..They are all really passionate members and very active in the Lions Club of Karimannoor.
LIONS CLUB
Founded on 5th day of April 2017,Lions Club of Karimannoor embarked on the path of Service in a vigorous manner. Over the years all the PST’S came in to power put their heart and soul in carrying out diverse activities for the benefit of the society. We acknowledge and appreciate the yeomen effort made by them in the past years.
Our Activities
The PST of 2024-2025 assumed power with effect from 1st June 2024. Headed by Mr. Francis Kumpuckal as the president , Mr. Sinoj K Francis as Secretary and Mr. Betson Joy as Treasurer formed a strong team to lead the club successfully. The first activity for the club was to develop a website for the club
www.karimannoorlionsclub.in to spearhead the activities of the club. PST schooling was held at Kumarakom on 16.6.2024.In the month of July we formed a Ladies forum for the club and re shaped the Leo club .16th July 2024 was a red letter day for the club . The installation ceremony of the Office bearers were held with the esteemed presence of First VDG Ln. Shine Kumar as the installing officer. On 21st July 2024 18 members of the club attended the Cabinet Installation at CIAL Auditorium, Nedumbasserry. Independence day was celebrated in a befitting manner. Two nearby schools were supported by the club.
On 17th September 2024 a Cancer detection Camp was organised in collaboration with Karkinos and Chazhikattu memorial hospital. On 22nd September Club celebrated the Onam by the name Avani Thennal. Also participated in the District Onam Celebration on the same day. On 27th September club had a family tour to Goa. On 22nd October provided food for the inmates of providence home. On 24 October Peace Poster contest was conducted in two schools in Nirmala Public School,Karimannoor and Sanjo CMI Public School, Koduveli. On 27 October We had a nature Conservation project by Cleaning the local river near Udumbannoor. On 5th November Medicines and suction pump for the needy people in two orphanages were distributed.
On 17 November a family tour to Bhoothathankettu was organised. On 15 January the launch of two Swapnabhavanam projects were inaugurated. On 16 January VDG visit along with Christmas- New year programme was celebrated. Inauguration of Yoga club and Health Gymn were launched.
Sponsored rupees fifty thousand for the purchase of a house for the homeless family.
Sponsored food and medicines for the poor people. Our club has also supported poor children for continueing their study in a foreign country . Provided financial aid of rupees fifty thousand for completing the works of swapnabhavanam.
We do not claim to have done wonders in our tenure, but small things of solace and happiness we could give to a number of families.
